Stand just to the left or right of the Flukemarm and use the Vengeful Spirit or the upgraded Shade Soul. They have 13 health each so if you have upgraded your nail twice you should be able to kill them with one hit. Break through to the secret passage which leads to the optional boss fight. You can kill them to fill up your spirit vessel. ![]() ![]() ![]() Head down, to the right, down and through the passageway that leads to the left with the little worms. Use Desolate Dive on the hatch to break through to the area below. Head back to the right, drop down to the water below and enter through the secret wall to the left for a Mask Shard. Continue up and around to find Cornifer and purchase a map from him. Head to the left and hit the lever to open the gate below which leads to the Fungal Wastes. Once you reach the room to the far left the gates will close and you’ll need to defeat all of the floating enemies before they open again. If you drop down you’ll need to restart the jumps. Continue follow the ledges above the water. Jump back up the wall and then jump and dash across the ledges above the water, dodging the floating enemies along the way. Drop off the edge, break the wall to the right and free the first Grub. Jump back up the wall and continue to the left. Having the second upgrade on the Nail will also help with the Flukemarm boss fight as you can kill the Flukefeys that it spawns with one hit.įrom the entrance head to the left and then use the downward smash to break the floor and drop down to the Bench. You’ll want to buy the Lumafly Lantern before exploring down here otherwise some areas will be too dark to see. Drop down the hatch and you’ll be in the Royal Waterways. From here, you can retrace your steps back to the Dung Defender's arena where we'll head to the next location, the Ancient Basin.To enter the Royal Waterways head to the bottom of the City of Tears and use the Simple Key on the mechanism to open the hatch. Climb up the wall and you'll find a trapped Grub. Rescue a Grubįrom where you picked up Isma's Tear, drop down into the pool of acid and swim to your right where you'll find a secret path. From here, go east and jump across by using the platforms until you reach the end where you'll find Isma's Tear - this ability repels acid which will allow The Knight to swim in acidic waters without taking any damage. After clearing the last wave, head east and follow the path where you'll respectively arrive in Isma's Grove. The gates will immediately close and you'll have to fight three waves of sentry enemies in order for the gates to re-open. When you get to the top, continue heading east then drop down into the 2nd column near the pool of acid where you'll arrive in a small arena. Be careful since you'll encounter 2x Winged Sentry as you climb to the top. Upon entering, you'll want to climb up the column until you reach the top. Make it across then head to the top right side until you reach a sign from the Dung Defender on the wall. You'll now encounter yet another pool of acid that has elevated platforms and multiple Hwurmp enemies floating around. You'll eventually slam onto the wall where you'll now need to climb up. Once you've reached the section, drop down while clinging onto the wall and use the Crystal Heart ability upon reaching the crystal formation to get across. Don't stop until you reach the next section after crossing the passage that has spikes. Next, head east until you reach a ledge with a crystal which indicates that you'll have to use the Crystal Heart ability to get across. Now, follow the path then drop down to the bottom by hopping onto the elevated platforms until you reach the pool of acid. From the Dung Defender's arena and after draining the acid water, you'll want to retrace your course back to the entrance leading to the arena of the Dung Defender.įrom here, you'll have to head southeast towards the path where you'll encounter a Pilflip and eventually, an opening you'll have to jump down into that leads into the next section. In order to gain access into Isma's Grove, you'll need to defeat the Dung Defender first in the Royal Waterways and then flip the lever that drains the acid water blocking the path that leads into the grove.
